Thanks to everybody

August 4th, 1998, 10:00pm in Indianapolis, IN, USA.I have just talked to Becky Clark from Riley Hospital and she was happy to tell me that the surgery conducted by Dr. Brown on Friday, July 31st, went perfect.
Intensive public attention was drawn to Vasia and Svetlana in recent days. Becky said that after local TV stations and newspapers featured articles about Vasia and Svetlana, they have received baskets full of gifts and food for them.
Svetlana said that she is undescribably touched with all the attention and warmth that people have showed towards her and Vasia and she now starts to believe that Vasia will have a regular life, like any other healthy boy of his age. Svetlana also asked me to pass her deepest gratitude and best wishes to everybody who helped them in Russia and especially to Rotarian Alexander Borisov of St. Petersburg Rotary Club "NEVA" and Rotaractor Yuri Tarasov who supported her on every step in preparing to the operation and arranging the trip.
